What is MSA?
MARKETING SERVICE AGENCY is a digital marketing service agency either approved by a manufacturer to do MDF activities of their Chanel distribution partners or, either, a direct partner of Chanel actors.
What is MDF?
MDF – Marketing Development Funds is a co-marketing program designed to develop sales of IT manufacturer products/solutions.
Discretionary funds – not tied to your revenue or performance.
Budgets must be used to fund eligible activities outlined in the Manufacturer’s co-marketing program done each quarter or semester.
Eligible activities according to manufacturers
DIGITAL PAID MEDIA
Digital marketing on third-party media properties (graphic advertising, eDM, e-catalogs, digital signage, mobile and social media), (creative, production and list acquisition costs).
DIGITAL OWNED MEDIA
Digital marketing on partner-owned media properties (eDM, catalog, electronic, SEM, digital signage, mobile and social media), (List on creative, production, acquisition costs).
PRINTED AND PRODCAST MARKETING
Print advertising, Catalogs, DM, Printed samples (GSB), Broadcast (TV, radio, cinema).
EVENT AND TRAINING
Demo days, briefings, siminars, road shows and webinars where products, solutions and services are promoted
SALE INCENTIVE
Program designed to reward sales representatives, distributors or non-partner resellers.
TELEMARKETING
Telephone campaigns (the use of an MSA can be requested, with specific claim requirements).
CUSTOMER ASSESSMENT
Develop a sales strategy to replace a competitor and increase brand penetration with an end-user customer
BRANDED MARCHANDISE
Co-branded or branded promotional items such as pens, pencils, lighters, caps, T-shirts, mugs, USB keys used as giveaways
INNOVATION
MDF funding may be authorized for innovative programs that do not fit the standard types of activities.
